We are contacting our patients as supplies become available and offering appointments. We are strictly following HSE guidelines and vaccinating in order of age and health condition profile, and we work within supply limits, which are outside our control. You can view the category breakdowns here.
Patients aged between 35 - 69 years are asked to register on the HSE website for their vaccine, here, or by phoning 1850 24 1850. See this page for information on vaccination centres and registering, or phone 1850 24 1850. If you are a registered patient of this practice aged between 35 - 49, and have NOT received any Covid vaccine elsewhere, you can contact us to be booked for a vaccination appointment.
However we do recommend registering with the HSE also and availing of an appointment with them if they contact you first. If you have received your first vaccine via the HSE you will need to get your second via the HSE also.
Please do not phone the clinic to enquire about vaccines if your age group is not currently being registered for vaccination through the HSE public registration portal, as we will not be able to help you, and we need to keep our phonelines open for patients contacting the clinic with pressing medical isses requiring GP consultation.
We are not able to register new patients at this time only for the purposes of vaccination - if you are over 35 years and you do not have a GP currently, you can register to receive a vaccination with the HSE here: https://vaccine.hse.ie/
If you’re aged 18 to 34 or aged 50 or over, you can make an appointment to get your COVID-19 vaccine at a local pharmacy. Information about that can be found here: https://www2.hse.ie/screening-and-vaccinations/covid-19-vaccine/get-the-vaccine/getting-your-vaccine/
Even if you have been fully vaccinated, it is important to remember that you can still transmit the virus to others (but remain asymptomatic yourself), and also that vaccination is not successful in at least 5% of people.
For these reasons, if you become symptomatic, then the same advice and restrictions that were previously in place still apply.
